I'll rely in the upcoming perl and parrot updates for 1.7 that -shared-libgcc will be the default for gcc-4. icu ditto. I didn't add -shared-libgcc to my hints. I hope that the frequent Vista unable to remap perl Cwd.dll errors will be gone then, but I have not Vista to test.
