AFAICS, there is still version 2.61 current for cygwin. The maintainer 
appears to be Charles (Chuck) Wilson.

Is there a new 2.62 release planned?

I'm asking this, because I think that this could also solve a problem 
with FLTK (http://www.fltk.org) configure (although there is a 
workaround for now).
