Sorry, but this mailing list is dedicated to the Cygwin net distro release of Cygwin. Support for third-party installations has to be done by the third party. This list is generally frowning upon 3PP's (http://cygwin.com/acronyms/#3PP). Other than that, I have no idea why it doesn't work on the K6. Maybe gcc emits an instruction which is not available on the old K6 design.
