This is supposed to be packaged as libpopt0, but that package is not on any mirror that I can find. Result is dos2unix, unix2dos, d2u, u2d do not work. They terminate with a 53 return code without doing anything and without displaying any message. I solved it by copying cygpopt-0.dll from an earlier install (several years old). For the benefit of others, please can somebody get that package back in the distribution.
