I'm a newbye in linux systems and cygwin too. I'm trying to edit a file with nano through an ssh connection. I have a machine on my LAN (Western Digital NAS) and I'm able to make an ssh connection from my dekstop (Windows XP). On both machines I installed nano. In fact, launching nano from my PC will run the editor. Once logged-in to the remote machine it will raise the following error: Error opening terminal: cygwin. Anyway, I tried from another PC with Debian it works fine, so the problem is related to Cygwin on my PC. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
