Latest change (autoconf stuff) 2004-11-19, few substantial changes since
2001.

You have been missing sgrep for some years ;)

Read the fine manual, useful stuff and examples.

Read the source too; some features are almost not documented.

If you need to quote a character in a search expression, you can write
it sort of like a numerical entity, i.e., '"' is '\#x22;'.

Most of the LT-XML utilities could be implemented in XSLT, but they

Hey I needed sgrep all my life, is it recent?

some simple examples
sgrep -i '("<h1>" .. "</h1>")' index.php
sgrep -i '("fred" .. "joe")' essay.txt

It gets really useful when you stream it

sgrep -i '("fred" .. "joe")' essay.txt | egrep -i 'keyword'
