Obsolete it only when the perl 5.8 prev version will be deleted. When perl-5.10 will go curr, then an empty perl-module-build or even the same tar.gz will do. I believe it will be in about two weeks or so. One major performance bug was just found and fixed, which will require a 5.10.0-3 release, and the Win32::GUI::Scintilla crash fix (cygwin only) is also outstanding. Your old 5.8 build does no harm to the 5.10 perl.
