I'm using an old PC running SuSE 10.1 as a file server for backup purposes. I run a Windows-based backup program to copy the files across to the linux box via SMB shares. After the backup is finished, I would like to run a post-processing Linux-based program on the remote Linux box, and I was hoping to use Cygwin to do this. Is it possible to log on to the remote system via Cygwin and then execute a program there? I know about the -e option to xterm, but how would I start this from Cygwin? Many thanks, Paul -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/How-to-remotely-log-in-and-execute-a-program-tf4618783.html#a13191124 Sent from the Cygwin Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
