I have been playing and playing. I now get no errors with cron_diagnose.sh, but I don't see any events in cronevents (at least not lately) There were some with earlier attempts on 8/30. I can see cron running when I do ps -e, but I edit my crontab to perform a touch and it never hasn't. As I said I get no events in cronevents, not even a start up message, I no longer see the edit events when I edit crontab. I get nothing. ****************** cronbug.txt shows that cron is running (launched today) but indeed there are no recent events in the Windows log. Did you by any chance install syslog at some point? Does /dev/log exist? /var/log/cron.log is not empty (unusual). What does it contain? cronbug.txt shows the following cron event: 2007/08/30 14:01:01 [builder] (builder) WRONG FILE OWNER (tabs/builder) However that's probably fixed now -rw-r----- 1 builder Administrators 395 Aug 31 10:38 /var/cron/tabs/builder The MAILTO=cronrun.log has no effect because it does not start with / Was there any info in ~/cron.log or in /tmp/cronXXX files ?
