When I read an alias file with source weird results ensue. E.g., if the alias file is alias rm='rm -i' alias mv='mv -i' then 'source /etc/alias' followed by 'alias' shows 'lias mv='mv -i 'lias rm='rm -i A related problam exists with env file. E.g., after sourcing STUFF_HOME="c:\\aa\\bb\\cc" CLASSPATH="c:\\dd\\ee;$STUFF_HOME\\ff\\gg" $STUFF_HOME is fine but $CLASSPATH is now \ff\ggee;c:\aa\bb\cc alias and env assignment work fine from the command line, so this is a source issue. Does anyone have an idea of what is causing this nonsense?
