The fix for this is an easy one as this diff shows: % diff /etc/profile.d/complete.tcsh /etc/profile.d/complete.tcsh.org 42,43c42,43 < if ( -r "$f" ) then < set hosts = ($hosts `grep -v "+" "$f" | grep -E -v "^#" | tr -s " " " " | cut -f 1`) --- > if ( -r $f ) then > set hosts = ($hosts `grep -v "+" $f | grep -E -v "^#" | tr -s " " " " | cut -f 1`) I'm not familiar with cygwin development.
