I've taken over maintainership of cygwin's ssmtp package. This release, the first in almost two years, is updated to the latest debian source and patchlevel (2.61-11.1, 2007 Mar 03). This release is compiled with SSL/TLS support, provided by openssl. Use the included ssmtp-config script to configure the service; see /usr/share/doc/Cygwin/ssmtp-2.61.README and 'man ssmtp.conf' for more information. Note that the ssmtp-config script will /not/ automatically configure SSL/TLS support -- you must do that manually. Changes since 2.60.9-3 ----------------------- o routine update to upstream source o use cygport build system o adopt debian patchset wholesale o compile with SSL/TLS support (via openssl, not gnutls) o compile with CRAM-MD5 AUTH support -- Chuck To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
