If you would prefer to have all the Windows "cruft" that it stores under "Documents and Settings" or any other directory, you can certainly use it instead. Symbolic links, mounts, or a change to your '/etc/passwd' file to point to your new home will all work. You should be aware that there are scripts "out there" that still trip over spaces in directory and file names, so that may be a reason to prefer links/mounts over editing the passwd file, unless you plan to alter the Windows path you're going to point to. -- Larry Hall http://www.rfk.com RFK Partners, Inc.
