With OpenSSH v.3.7p1 run everything fine. It was with cygwin1.dll (v.1005.4.0.0; file version: 1.5.4) on the same(!) Windows Server 2003 machine and with the same sshd_config file: My actual settings are: sshd_config (important parts): PermitRootLogin yes StrictModes yes PubkeyAuthentication yes AuthorizedKeysFile ssh/authorized_keys UsePrivilegeSeparation no system variable: CYGWIN=binmode ntsec tty Thanks in advance for further help Carsten Porzler cygwin-owner AT cygwin DOT com schrieb am 24.01.2007 16:24:40: > On Wed, Jan 24, 2007 at 03:42:51PM +0100, Corinna Vinschen wrote: > > > What else could be the reason? > > > > Hmm, good question.
