This is due to a 0-length file used for an empty package. As far as I know, this has already been fixed on sourceware.org, and should propagate to the mirrors soon. You might want to go and physically delete the offending file from your system, as well as clear the IE cache, to pick up the fixed version. FWIW, a newer setup snapshot (see ) did not crash in this situation.
