I installed the dll (only) snalpshot from 26.06.2006, restarted my
system and tried again.


The problem still occurs.
To give you some numbers for reproducing:

I run my script over 57312 files within 16992 folders

The number of problems found differs from run to run, but during the
last run there were 3 problems.
In the last days I found 5-20 problems mostly.

So I assume that it might be e very seldom timing problem or so.
