I now get an error when it connects to one of my mail servers. Using "fetchamil -v" I noticed a difference in the output that indicates the likely problem. 6.3.1-1 give this message when the connection fails: fetchmail: 6.3.1 querying mail.********.*** (protocol POP3) at Fri Jun 16 15:05:3 1 2006: poll started fetchmail: getaddrinfo("mail.********.***","pop3s") error: nodename nor servname provided, or not known fetchmail: POP3 connection to mail.********.*** failed: Operation not permitted 6.2.5-2 returns this: fetchmail: 6.2.5 querying mail.********.*** (protocol POP3) at Fri Jun 16 15:17:4 7 2006: poll started fetchmail: Warning: server certificate verification: self signed certificate in certificate chain fetchmail: Warning: server certificate verification: self signed certificate in certificate chain fetchmail: Issuer Organization: RSA Data Security, Inc. fetchmail: Unknown Issuer CommonName fetchmail: Server CommonName: mail.********.*** fetchmail: mail.********.*** key fingerprint: **:**:**:.... fetchmail: Warning: server certificate verification: self signed certificate in certificate chain fetchmail: POP3< +OK <3740.1150489067@********.***> (sccrpxc04) Maillennium POP3/ PROXY server #29 and continues on and completes successfully. The fetchmail man pages indicate that the self signed certificate is still allowed, but 6.3.1-1 seems to be not accepting it. -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
