I had not received that email. Occassionally, the list "burps". It's pretty rare but it can happen. You may have also been caught by some web page caching if you were checking the status via the Cygwin email archives web page. I don't know. You're free to use the newsgroup to interact with the Cygwin mail list but keep in mind that it's an unofficial method of access and issues that arise from it should be directed to Gmane, not the Cygwin list.
