Your mailer creates many headers other than the "From" and "To" ones which are under your control. In particular, if you reply to an email, it creates an "In-Reply-To" header, so that when anyone gets your reply, their mailer will attach it to the existing thread/conversation. If you reply to a post, your mailer sends it as a reply to that post, and you can't trick it just by changing the subject line. So if you reply to a post and write an irrelevant message about another topic, it still ends up as part of the thread of the post that you replied to. cheers, DaveK -- Can't think of a witty .sigline today.... -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
