The name you chose is wrong; -lstdc++ will look for a file named
"libstdc++.a", not "stdc++.a".  But this is unlikely to work in any case,
since the above library does not come from the gcc2 Cygwin package.
Looks like your version of gcc2 is screwed up.

Please pay particular attention to the part that talks about message
subjects and the part that asks you to attach (as an uncompressed text
attachment) the output of "cygcheck -svr" on your machine.
