AFAICT, you haven't actually completely installed the product but what you
want on your machine is certainly your choice.

Unfortunately, the uninstall part of setup.exe is really pretty weak at
present and requires some manual steps.  This is the FAQ entry which
deals with uninstalling cygwin:
