I have your problem when I update cygwin and the overwrite my startx file. For the XWin line in the startx file, I need to take out the -multiwindow arg. #XWin -multiwindow -clipboard -silent-dup-error & XWin -nodecoration -clipboard -silent-dup-error& <- I use this Hope this helps. ...
