A couple of points, though: one of the reasons we're asking to attach the output of "cygcheck -svr" is exactly the sort of version confusion you've had. People who need the version information will usually know what to look for in that output, so reports are accurate. Also, you can always find out which version of the DLL you're using by running "uname -a".
