Just in case, try running "lpr -D -P //server1/printer1"[*] and see what it prints (it should tell you the exact name of the printer that it's attempting to open). Unfortunately, lpr is a mostly Windows program, so strace isn't likely to be of much help... BTW, does "echo -e 'Test\f' > //server1/printer1" work?
