I only ran into the hyperthreading bug the other day when trying to chown a large directory tree. It would bomb out after a minute or two (a few hundred to maybe a thousand files). With the new build (whether stripped with --strip-debug or unstripped) the command completes as expected. Another vote for the silver star !
