This quick follow-up release should fix the problems with "Argument list too long" errors that xargs was experiencing. I made several previous release attempts, thinking that I had fixed the problem before I realized that the presentation of the problem seemed to be more-or-less random so it was possible to get a clean run of xargs in one case and a failing one in another. Weird. Anyway, this one seems to work consistently after repeated runs. I guess this is one of the pitfalls of installing alpha-quality software. For a brief descripton of this package, and listing of the files it contains, see http://cygwin.com/packages/findutils . To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. findutils should be updated automatically, assuming that you are using a mirror which has grabbed the latest version from sourceware.org. If you have questions or comments, please send them to the Cygwin mailing list. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, please use the automated form at: http://cygwin.com/lists.html#subscribe-unsubscribe If this does not work, then look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
