Yes.  See <http://www.gnu.org/software/fileutils/doc/manual/html/fileutils.html#What%20information%20is%20listed>

Look at the documentation about the '-l' flag.

Essentially, there are other permissions that are set on this file that 
cannot be represented by the rwx bits.
