This version is a refresh from CVS on sources.redhat.com. Binutils undergoes active development so there have been a number of fixes, many related to windows. If you have been experiencing problems with programs like dlltool, ld, objcopy, etc., it would be worthwhile to update your installation. Perhaps two of the more notable changes are the inclusion of weak symbol support for DLLs, courtesy of Aaron W. LaFramboise and Dwarf2 support from Brian Ford. To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system.
