The non-windows version of the code uses 'system("sync")' but this fails the builtin tests. The code is hdf5-1.6.2, in case that helps. I noticed that flushall is defined in the mingw library, but I tried using gcc -mno-cygwin and it failed in a big way so that doesn't seem to be an option. Anyone have any suggestions for what I should try?
