Yes, this does indeed look suspicious. Since I only have Win2k to play with, can someone with WinXPPro verify this behavior? Hopefully it's a local configuration thing... A WAG: "at" runs as LocalSystem (a.k.a. SYSTEM). Does g:\cygwin\bin\bash have execute permissions for everyone? Also, try making the executable name "g:\cygwin\bin\bash.exe" instead. Igor P.S. This isn't really Cygwin-specific, but since getting a system-owned shell is useful for detecting all kinds of service problems, I think this may be still on-topic. -- http://cs.nyu.edu/~pechtcha/ |\ _,,,---,,_ pechtcha AT cs DOT nyu DOT edu ZZZzz /,`.-'`' -. ;-;;,_ igor AT watson DOT ibm DOT com |,4- ) )-,_. ,\ ( `'-' Igor Pechtchanski, Ph.D. '---''(_/--' `-'\_) fL a.k.a JaguaR-R-R-r-r-r-.-.-.
