If you dig deep enough eventually you will always hit the "it's money related" area. This has nothing to do with MS really. It happens everywhere. Question is why do you have Windows XP Home? You should have gotten Windows XP Pro. Home is for computer users who only care to surf the web and look at pictures. Being that you have installed Cygwin, use Xemacs and are apparently writing PHP code I'd say you're in the Pro category. Why do they have Pro and Home? Yes it's about money. Some people don't care about the features that Pro offers so by offering Home edition they can offer it at a cheaper price. You, however, want those features but failed to buy the right OS. -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
