This is by design: setup will not let you install the sources for any other version of a package if you have some version of the binaries installed. There are two ways to go about this: either downgrade to 2.3.0 temporarily, install the sources, and upgrade back, or just download the sources directly from any mirror without using setup (e.g., via wget).
