IIRC, the problem is only noticed when installing from > a local directory. If you're just looking for the "quick fix", try > installing from the Internet. Or even better; look at http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin-apps/setup.html and find the instructions and link to setup 2.418 http://cygwin.com/setup-snapshots/ - then use that instead. It behaves _a lot_ better on machines with less MHz'es. (I'm running a 450 AT P2) Run it from a cmd/command prompt with "setup.exe --no-md5" and you'll be spared the md5 checksum checking too. /Hannu E K Nevalainen, B.Sc.
