Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Hi, If I test gcc-core-3.3.1-3.tar.bz2 I get the error: gcc-core-3.3.1-3.tar.bz2: bad magic number (file not created by bzip2) You can use the `bzip2recover' program to attempt to recover data from undamaged sections of corrupted files. I downloaded it twice from mirrors.rcn.net and once from mirrors.kernel.org with the same results. Setup doesn't have any problem with the MD5 sum. My bzip2 reports: bzip2, a block-sorting file compressor. Version 1.0.2, 30-Dec-2001. Is this error expected? Is my bzip2 too old to recognize some new bzip2 format? =================================== John Daniel Doucette, Sr. Software Designer J. J.
