Umm, sorry, I think I had too many "../"s there: that should have been "cvs co winsup; mkdir build; cd build; ../src/winsup/configure --prefix=/usr/install --enable-debugging -v; make". BTW, you don't have to do it in / -- I do it in /usr/src/cygwin-cvs, FWIW.
