If you close an rxvt window by clicking on the Close [X] then the bash shell running under rxvt never gets notified and runs in the background. When you attempt to shutdown Windows you'll see a dialog box asking to kill that process. This is a known bug in rxvt (PTC). Meantime always exist your bash shells via exit or Ctrl-d and you should not see the problem anymore. -- Will the information superhighway have any rest stops? -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
