Other Cygwin programs (like Info, Man, e.g.) have 'normal' performance. I don't *think* it's my path, I checked and fiddled with that and nothing changed. I tried -u -d with MC. The machine is a single user W98 machine. What should I check? It's a new install, late Sept. 2003. ( Also ..... MC crashes frequently after viewing *small* files, too. If, instead, I EDIT them it's fine.
