Run "cygcheck yourprog.exe". This should show you all the DLLs that your program expects to find at runtime. It is generally recommended that you use setup.exe to install Cygwin on the machines you'll be running Cygwin programs on, rather than copy the files by hand. If you feel adventurous, you could try compiling your program using MinGW, by adding a "-mno-cygwin" flag to gcc, but be aware that you won't be getting full POSIX emulation (in particular, if your program uses shared memory, you'll *have* to use Cygwin, AFAIK).
