Right, you didn't mention that you got error's and when I tried the URL I got a connection timeout.. Anyway, building from the source tarballs is pretty hairy, I've never built from a release tarball (only from CVS) so I can't help you, but the mailing list archives can, as this has been discussed before. > However, I just tried what you said (running `make install') and it started building (to my great surprise). Well you'll need to search the archives, and find the hints, or wait for someone here who's built from a release tarball to give you some helpful instructions.
