This week I have had to reinstall Windows 2000 (due to a problem unrelated to Cygwin) and was suprised to find files in my Windows home directory (SSH stuff) and in my cygwin home still owned by the previous user with the same name. I cannot delete or modify these files, even logged in as Administrator. Tried "chown -R" as Administrator, and that still did not seem to help. Of course, I also checked the regular Windows GUI but even as Administrator the controls for changing user settings are disabled. I checked the FAQ and docs, but an easy answer does not seem to present itself. Any ideas?
