I have still not been able to start my cron. this is what I got from the event log The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( cron ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: cron : PID 876 : `cron' service stopped. I have not understood anything from this. If anyone understands what this means than please reply. else I guess I have to leave my cron as it is. Thanks Sanjay "Harig, Mark A." wrote in message news:BADF3C947A1BD54FBA75C70C241B0B9E76339C AT ex02 DOT idirect DOT net... I'm referring to the problem with getting cron to work. My suggestions are a shot in the dark. People have been known to fix mysterious problems by carefully reinstalling the software. I agree that Cygwin should not care which drive it is installed on, all other things being equal. That's why I listed it last. > -----Original Message----- > From: Larry Hall [mailto:lhall AT rfk DOT com] > Sent: Friday, May 09, 2003 2:17 PM > To: Harig, Mark A. > Cc: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com; Sanjay Goel > Subject: Re: cron in cygwin > > > Mark, > > What problem are you referring to?
