You should change your path or keep track of local packages you put in /usr/local/bin. Cygwin packages distributed with setup.exe always install to /usr/bin, /bin (which is the same as /usr/bin) or /usr/sbin (this is rare). No Cygwin package post-install script goes hunting around looking for other versions not previously installed by setup.exe. So if you have other packages in /usr/local/bin that would conflict with those you're installing with setup.exe, your best bet is to get rid of them. -- Larry Hall lhall AT rfk DOT com RFK Partners, Inc. http://www.rfk.com 838 Washington Street (508) 893-9779 - RFK Office Holliston, MA 01746 (508) 893-9889 - FAX -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
