So, the install does not check the whole path to see if there are other copies of ssh that need to re replaced. I thought the default installation directory was /usr/local/bin, yet it seems to be /usr/bin. Two options: change the order in $PATH in my config, or copy the ssh.exe from one directory to another. I wonder how many more apps are installed this way..... Are you sure you are running Cygwin ssh 3.0.2? Do you get 3.0.2 when running from a command prompt, or from bash? Please post the output of the following: In bash: "which ssh", "type -a ssh", and "ssh -V" In a command prompt window: "which ssh" and "ssh -V" Oh, and if the above doesn't provide any clues for your problem, please also attach the output of "cygcheck -svr" as an uncompressed text attachment, as per .
