Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 12:19:14 -0000 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Hi All, Just installed cygwin on a couple of new boxes and noticed a few things, 1) base-files creates /etc/skel/default/.bash_profile and /etc/profile installs this to /home/$USERNAME/default/.bash_profile , is this deliberate or a typo ? (dont remember it doing this before and it means that its never run without user intervention which seems to defeat copying it from /etc/skel) 2) Umm scratch 2 which was about case differences in $USERDOMAIN and `hostname` since i just read about the new mkpasswd-grp, ran the new script (from copy and paste) and all is fine. (win2k server and .NET server (yes i know thats unsupported) ) :) 3) It seems somewhere that the problems with running on .NET server RC3 have been fixed up a bit as i have it working a treat including ssh server (I seem to remember people saying it didnt/wouldnt) Thanks for all the hard work, as ever, to all the developers ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Vince Hoffman Systems Administrator Euro RSCG Circle (London) P: 020 7959 7576 M: 0777 5822213 Icq: 50905590 PGP ID: 0xC859C861 "A vacuum is a hell of a lot better than some of the stuff that nature replaces it with." -- Tennessee Williams ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
