Looking at the ChangeLog between 1.875 and 1.875a () it does seem that using 1.875a will not exhibit this particular problem. It doesn't look like another stable release will happen anytime soon... Can the [curr] bison package be "upgraded" to 1.875a (leaving [prev] at 1.75) at some point?
