It shouldn't. If you are choosing the correct/same install root-directory and package download directory, which are the defaults in the respective fields, it should only attempt to download updated packages, unless you choose otherwise. If you do not want to install every update you can click the 'View' button until it says 'Partcial' , which gives a list of packages that are flagged as updates. You can click on the version number of the package until it says 'Keep'. > btw. does anyone have experiences in running mplayer on cygwin and playing > realfiles? mplayer did compile fine and plays avis and mpgs but it sigills > while playing realfiles.
