Otherwise, I guess I'll be forced >> to kinda do the same thing again :( I suggest: * Remove everything within D:\cygwin except home, and usr/local if you have anything you want in there * Don't bother about purging the registry again. * Use setup to reinstall Hopefully after that all will be well. It's a nuisance having to select all the packages you want again in setup, but remember you can just install Base + your immediate needs, and add other stuff as needed.
