How to rectify this problem? O/S crashes are caused by kernel faults, not application faults. Searching this email archive would show you a number of threads where people asking about "bluescreens with Cygwin" (O/S crashes) are directed to the Microsoft site for help. That's where you need to go as well. This has nothing to do with Cygwin and so further speculation about the solution for this problem is off-topic for this list.
