Message-ID: Importance: Normal MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Hi all, The current Cygwin DLL will freeze an xterm/rxvt when a large amount of data is pasted into it. The problem was alleviated slightly in the newer snapshots of the DLL, by an increase of the buffer size to 64k. There is a fix that apparently allows pastes of any size. A patch has been submitted, but it needs testing. I've built a snapshot against (reasonably) current CVS. The snapshot (and the patch) are available at the following locations: Snapshot: http://cs.nyu.edu/~pechtcha/cygwin/cygwin1-tty_patch-20021124.dll.bz2 Patch: http://cs.nyu.edu/~pechtcha/cygwin/xterm-paste.patch.20021124 ChangeLog: http://cs.nyu.edu/~pechtcha/cygwin/xterm-paste.ChangeLog.20021124 Please try this snapshot out and post your feedback to the list. Thanks, Igor P.S. Pardon the subject, the more logical "xterm paste fix" bounced. -- http://cs.nyu.edu/~pechtcha/ |\ _,,,---,,_ pechtcha AT cs DOT nyu DOT edu ZZZzz /,`.-'`' -. ;-;;,_ igor AT watson DOT ibm DOT com |,4- ) )-,_. ,\ ( `'-' Igor Pechtchanski '---''(_/--' `-'\_) fL a.k.a JaguaR-R-R-r-r-r-.-.-.
