Date: Wed, 20 Nov 2002 11:29:32 -0500 Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed Message-ID: X-OriginalArrivalTime: 20 Nov 2002 16:29:32.0722 (UTC) FILETIME=[01B82920:01C290B2] When I run the Cygwin setup program, the second screen titled "Choose a download source" has 3 radio buttons. More often than not I select the one labeled "Install from Local Directory". Unfortunately, setup does not "remember" that selection the next time I run it, always defaulting to "Install from Internet". I suppose I could patch the file source.cc like so: --- source.cc.orig 2002-11-20 11:20:08.000000000 -0500 +++ source.cc 2002-11-20 11:21:13.000000000 -0500 @@ -79,7 +79,7 @@ SourcePage::OnActivate () { - source = IDC_SOURCE_NETINST; + source = IDC_SOURCE_CWD; load_dialog (GetHWND ()); // Check to see if any radio buttons are selected. If not, select a default. But it seems a better solution would be to have setup save whatever I last picked in setup.ini or in the Windows Registry. How hard would it be to implement this feature? I suppose given enough guidance I could implement it myself and offer up a patch. _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8.
